SHORT MAT
The sessions take place in the Clubhouse come rain or shine from
October through to April on: -
Mondays
9.30am - 12 noon
2.00pm - 5.00pm
Wednesdays
7.00pm - 10.00pm
Thursdays
2.00pm - 5.00pm
Fun Galas are organised across the season usually to celebrate events such as
Halloween, Christmas etc.
All full members are welcome and it is possible to join as a Short Mat only
player if you are an experienced bowler.
Play is with two or more woods depending on numbers at the session.
Clothing is casual except for matches when greys are worn, bowls shoes are
essential.
The fee of £2.00 per session includes tea, coffee & biscuits and the bar is open
during evening sessions.
Teams and positions are drawn at the beginning of each session
You can use either use your own bowls or borrow from the Club.
A programme of individual pairs and triples knockout competitions start in
November
Two teams play in the Hertfordshire Short Mat Bowling Association (HSMBA)
Barnet League & several players have signed up for County Competitions.
